Located in the central part of Portugal, Bairrada has a reputation for solid and incredible wines.
The tour starts with a visit to Caves Aliança (Wine Cellar), founded in 1927. During this visit you will have the opportunity to see the cellar and the museum and enjoy in the end a wine tasting. The Aliança Underground Museum is an exhibition space where you can see parts of the Contemporary Collection of Berardo.
Afterwards enjoy a panoramic tour of Curia, known as a spa/thermal town.
Lunch in a typical restaurant and enjoy the typical meal of the region “Leitão da Bairrada” (roasted “suckling” pig), served with orange and potatoes aside.
In the Afternoon, continue this tour, now to Luso, where you will have the possibility to visit a thermal spring.
Throughout the tour delight yourself with the astonishing panoramic landscapes of this wine region.
Lastly, visit Quinta Sao Domingos (Wine Estate), known for producing sparkling wine, vintage brandies, and spirit wine from Bairrada and from Dão. Explore the vineyards and enjoy a wine tasting.
