Passing the border into Germany we drive up to the former village of Obersalzberg, then further towards the Lake Königssee. Known as, ‘The prettiest lake in Germany’, it is part of the Berchtesgaden National Park. Here you will enjoy marveling at the scenery with the Bavarian mountains towering above you, providing a magnificent backdrop to the lake. Our next stop is the charming village of Berchtesgaden, nestled into the foothills of the surrounding mountains. Enjoy a pleasant stroll through the friendly town Berchtesgaden with its historical buildings, churches, shops and perhaps try a local specialty or two!
