Water Gallery: Explore the diversity of life on our blue planet. Aquariums and other aquatic delights await, including the jaw-dropping star attraction – a complete skeleton of a blue whale.

Fossil Gallery: Encounter realistic, life-sized, fleshed-out dinosaurs. See hundreds of specimens, including 36 complete skeletons. Visit the Extinction Theatre to experience the final days of the dinosaurs!

Earth Gallery: Learn about the powerful forces that have shaped and changed our planet. More than 1,000 rocks and minerals are showcased. Includes interactive displays and a limestone cave!

Bird Gallery: Flock to see nearly 500 species – one of the largest displays of North American birds in the world!

Mammal Gallery: Experience close encounters with polar bears, cougars, bison, wolves and more! Your favourite mammals are featured in their rugged, life-challenging habitats.

3D Theater (Additional Fee): Enjoy an eye-popping film in a state-of-the-art Digital 3D theater.

Canada Goose Arctic Gallery: Discover the Arctic’s unique geography, climate, people and wildlife. See authentic specimens; stunning multimedia – including a year-round sculptural ice experience; indigenous perspectives; fun interactive games, and more. An Ontario Signature Experience.

Hours of operation
Museum opens at 9:00am to 6:00pm from June 1 to September 3 and 9:00am to 5:00pm from September 4 to May 31. Extended hours on Thursday only closing at 8:00pm year round. Closed Mondays.

Located at 240 McLeod Street, Ottawa, Ontario.
