Itinerary
By far, this is the best whale watching tour in Cabo! Year after year, the California Grey Whale ventures over 6,000 miles south following the warmer waters and currents originating out of Alaska. Males head south towards the end of the Baja Peninsula and Mayan Riviera coasts while the females stay behind in Magdalena Bay or Puerto San Carlos giving birth to their young just north of Cabo San Lucas.
This is not a high-volume type of whale watching tour with massive amounts of people. Our Majestic Whale Watching Adventure presented uniquely by Gray Line Los Cabos allows for a more exclusive, up-close-and-personal opportunity to enjoy the Grey Whales in their natural habitat. At times, there may even be opportunities to pet the huge mammals and enjoy their acrobatics.
The Grey Whale is a natural resource protected by the Mexican Law. Whale watching is strictly regulated now and with the help of your professionally licensed Gray Line tour guides, guests will experience a truly once-in-a-lifetime eco-adventure. During the annual Grey Whale migration, beginning near the end of November and extending through mid-April each year, the canals, bays, and mouths of Magdalena Bay are inundated with the whales' undulating form. Puerto Lopez Mateos and San Carlos are the usual centers for whale watching activities.
The most astonishing aspects of our Cabo whale watching tours to Magdalena Bay are the ability to experience these impressive, massive mammals closer to the shore than normal, observe the females teaching their baby calves various types of communications and survival techniques, playing and of course, having the opportunity to physically pet the whales as they tend to play around the boats.
Your Cabo San Lucas Whale Watching tour begins with a personal pick-up and introduction by a professionally certified Gray Line Los Cabos Guide and chauffeur at your hotel lobby. After your pick-up, guests are driven north (approximately 4 ½ hours) in a comfortable, brand new vehicle where you will arrive at Magdalena Bay or Puerto San Carlos Bay. Upon arrival, guests depart in 24’-26’ Pangas for approximately 2 hours searching out the Grey Whales and interacting with them. Afterwards, enjoy an incredible lunch at a local restaurant offering everything from regional fresh lobster, shrimp and fish.

Additional Information
Please bring comfortable shoes and attire, jacket, sunblock, camera, and cash as there are only few ATMs available along the road.
Bring your pillow as pick up time is early in the morning and you can sleep during the ride.
Plenty restroom facilities are made along the drive for your comfort and use.
