Itinerary
Our journey begins with a brief history about the emperor who built the city we know of and are standing in, with the imposing Jama Masjid in the background. As we climb aboard our beautiful chariot painted in the colors of the Mughal structures we take you through the bustling lane of Kinari bazaar amidst the romantic glittering laces which will instantly transport you back to an old world with a stopover at Naughara to experience serenity within excitement before we head to taste delectable fried paraphernalia. As we enter paranthe wali gali, enjoy the overload of senses and fight between heart and brain to taste the delicious fried paranthas or kachoris or glassful of lassi.
After satisfying your initial hunger we climb on our rickshaw and ride towards Fatehpuri Masjid which has various unique experiences to offer for our taste buds through one of the many lanes as we stop in front of the Town Hall or Begum ki Sarai for an interesting story about the colonial structure by our explorer as you drink away on an ice cold Banta (lemon soda).
We now ride into the vicinity of Asia’s largest wholesale spice market, a place where you can still smell the finely powdered spices that linger in the air. As we head to the lane leading to Lal Kuan which is still full of activity as you see people young and old enjoying a stuffed omelet or kebabs or perhaps they are just here to satisfy their sweet tooth with a bowl of delicately made kheer.
The city is known for its non-veg delicacies, and as we head to Matia Mahal, a lane bang opposite Jama Masjid taking in the scenic beauty of the magnificent structure standing tall in moonlight. Before we reach the lane that is bursting with activity even at this hour, the aromas of chargrilled kebabs and gravies reaches you before.
This delectable journey ends at Jama Masjid, as we come full circle at the gate of India’s largest mosque and bid you farewell with a memorable cultural imprint and unforgettable gastronomic experience.
