Leave your hotel and take a journey through the lush green countryside where you will see the day to day Dominican life, with our professional guides you will learn all about the culture and history of this wonderful island. You are invited into the home of a local family where you will experience real Dominican hospitality, taste and see how local produce is grown, from local fruits and coffee to sugar cane.

Your days continues with a pilgrimage to the Basilica of Higuey, a majestic architectural site which stands a large grey Latin cross structure and see the Virgin of Altagracia. Then board your boat to take a journey on the Chavon River to witness unique landscapes where the movies Rambo II and Apocalypse Now were filmed. Enjoy a lunch of grilled lobster and swim under the Caribbean sun and learn from master cigar makers how to roll the perfect cigar and visit the small cigar museum. This day is a must to see the real Dominican Republic.
