Itinerary
After being collected and transported from Cape Town or Hermanus to our home base at White Shark Lodge in Kleinbaai, the day will begin with a tasty continental breakfast and a safety briefing on current sightings, indemnities, wet suits and equipment. You will then board our custom built 36ft, 4 tons white shark dive catamaran, “Shark Team”. You will be accompanied by our intrepid skippers, a qualified paramedic, Dive Master and support crew. After a concise presentation on shark anatomy and behavior, as well as covering an overview of White Sharks Projects operations with sharks in the area plus a full briefing on all procedures, you will be equipped to take the plunge and spend the next couple of hours experiencing the mystical wonders of the deep in the company of these awe inspiring predators in their natural habitat.
Once our crew has deposited chum into the cruise area, you will in due course be rewarded by the electrifying first glimpse of the iconic fin, as the object of your desire cautiously approaches. After allowing the sharks additional time to settle, the first group of guests are lowered into the water, to experience a face to face backstage meeting with the enigmatic stars of the show. This heart-racing encounter lasts about 20 minutes and is facilitated from the safety
of a customized shark cage.
Back on deck you will be able to observe shark activity which occurs close to the water surface. With a bit of luck you may also catch a few action shots of the Great Whites “spy hopping”, the term used to describe the breaching action of the great whites, who launch themselves high into the air in pursuit of prey. Fortunately, your own food gathering will require far less exertion, as lunch boxes containing a variety of fresh sandwiches and snacks will be on hand for you to enjoy at leisure, with soft drinks and juices offering added refreshment while you bask under South Africa’s legendary sunny skies.
The day is rounded off back at the lodge with delectable scones and tea, giving you a chance to regroup and share the day’s experiences before being driven back to your meeting point.

Additional Information
Exact collection times are only available after 4:00pm the day before tour departure and may vary between 4:30am and 11:30am.
Please bring suntan lotion, cap and sunglasses, a warm jersey/jacket and of course, a swimming suit and towel. If you know you are prone to motion sickness or even if you are unsure if you are, we advise you take medication before we depart so as not to spoil your adventure. And last tip - don't forget your camera.

Participant restrictions
Children under the age of 5 are not permitted to participate.

You must provide own transportation to the departure point, unless you purchase a tour ticket with transportation.
Cancellation: 1 day prior 100% penalty. No show 100% penalty.
