As Canada’s largest aquarium and one of the top aquariums in the world, it’s no wonder that the Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Centre welcomes over one million visitors each year. The Aquarium is home to 50,000 amazing aquatic creatures such as beluga whales, dolphins, sharks, sea otters, jellyfish, and many more exotic species from the Amazon to the Arctic.

The Vancouver Aquarium is a non-profit society dedicated to the conservation of aquatic life. Your visit to the Aquarium directly contributes to its conservation, education and research programs, such as Canada’s only Marine Mammal Rescue Centre, which rescues, rehabilitates and releases approximately 100 sick, injured and orphaned marine animals each year.

Due to changing weather climate in B.C. throughout the year, our African Penguins are closely monitored by animal care staff and may be off display in colder weather.
