Viking Horse Riding and Golden Circle Afternoon

Highlights / General details
Ideal for those with little time, but want to get an all encompassing experience of Iceland, enjoy this combination of a Viking Horse Riding Tour and Golden Circle Afternoon.

The Icelandic horse is a breed that has remained virtually unchanged since the Vikings, which were brought to Iceland in the 9th century. Enjoy a riding tour in the idyllic landscape of Laxnes, located just outside of Reykjavik city.

After riding we’ll take a short break before making our way to the National Park Þingvellir with its remarkable geological features. Here the Icelandic Parliament - Alþingi - was founded in 930 AD. making it the oldest still-functioning parliament in the world.

We visit the impressive glacial waterfall Gullfoss and the geothermal area of Geysir and Strokkur with its spouting geysers. The tour then takes us through fertile agricultural areas before heading back to Reykjavik over the mountain heath Hellisheiði.
